Methodology

Our rankings are based on publicly available data sourced primarily from SEC Form ADV filings. To qualify, firms must:

• Be registered with the SEC
• Operate independently
• Serve primarily retail (non-institutional) clients

We rank firms using two key metrics:

1. Assets Under Management (AUM): Total discretionary and non-discretionary assets managed.
2. Number of Retail Clients: Total individual clients receiving investment advisory services.

This approach emphasizes firms that demonstrate both scale and reach in serving individual investors.
