Top 20 RIAs in Los Angeles (2026 Update): Greater LA's Largest Wealth Management Firms by AUM

Los Angeles is home to one of the largest and most varied wealth management markets in the country, spanning everything from century-old family offices in Pasadena to fast-growing RIA platforms built through acquisition. Using AdvizorPro's advisor intelligence platform, we set out to rank the largest independent RIAs serving the Greater Los Angeles area by assets under management.

This is an update to our original Los Angeles ranking published in August 2025. We kept the original post's wider Greater Los Angeles scope, since much of the region's wealth management activity sits well beyond the city limits, in communities like Pasadena, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Glendale, and Newport Beach. The result is a verified list of 20 firms that collectively manage more than $270 billion for their clients.

You can also check out our breakdown of the Top RIAs in San Francisco, another major West Coast wealth management hub, or our ranking of the Top RIAs in Chicago.

We ranked firms using AdvizorPro's dataset of SEC-registered investment advisers headquartered in Los Angeles and the surrounding metro area, sorted by total assets under management. All key insights are based on data as of September 2026.

Closing Thoughts

Los Angeles wealth management is a story of scale at the top and depth everywhere else. The four largest firms, Beacon Pointe, EP Wealth Advisors, Capital Group Private Client Services, and Lido, together account for more than $185 billion of the $270 billion tracked in this ranking. From there, the list opens into a wide bench of firms in the $700 million to $10 billion range built around specific communities, from Pasadena and Santa Monica to Beverly Hills, Glendale, and the San Fernando Valley.

That spread matters for anyone trying to reach LA-area advisors. A distribution strategy built only around the largest downtown and Century City names will miss most of the firms actually growing fastest, several firms on this list posted 25% or higher year-over-year AUM growth.
