AI-Forward by Design: How AdvizorPro Uses AI From Data to CRM

Everyone has access to Claude and ChatGPT now. Your team does. Your competitors do. The model isn't the edge anymore.
The data is.
Ask a general AI tool which Texas RIAs over $1B run on Orion and you'll get a polite guess. Ask it with AdvizorPro connected and you get 113 firms, 614 contacts, and verified emails. That gap is the whole story of this post.
We've been an AI company longer than it's been fashionable to say so. AI reads the filings that build our database. It powers the search you use inside the platform. It runs inside the AI tools your team already has open. And it hands finished lists to your CRM so the follow-up actually happens.
It starts with reading. Our AI crawls millions of firm websites, advisor bios, and regulatory filings. Most of that is messy, unstructured text. The AI turns it into clean, structured fields you can filter on: AUM, custodian, tech stack, specialties, team structure. Then a person checks it. Every record gets verified by a human before it reaches you.
Here's how each piece works, and what it looks like in a real week for asset managers, ETF issuers, alternative managers, wealthtechs, and recruiters.
The top row is how the data gets built. The bottom row is how your team puts it to work.
Layer 1: AI builds the database
Most advisor data vendors still run on people copying fields into spreadsheets. That works until an advisor changes firms on a Tuesday and nobody notices for a quarter.
We built it the other way around. AI does the reading. People do the checking.
Here's what that means in practice:
- It reads what humans skim. Our models parse Form ADV filings, firm websites, advisor bio pages, 13F filings, Form D filings, and industry news. They pull out the stuff a rep actually needs: AUM, client mix, custodian, tech stack, investment themes, team structure.
- It figures out who's who. Entity resolution connects the same person across registrations, firms, and teams. Parent firms, subsidiaries, and DBAs stay linked, so you see the whole firm instead of five fragments of it.
- It knows how sure it is. Adaptive confidence scoring rates every data point and learns from each verification cycle. Low-confidence records get flagged for review instead of shipped to you.
- It tags firms the way you'd describe them. Direct indexing shops. Private credit allocators. Firms on Orion and Salesforce. Those tags come from reading the firm, not from a checkbox someone filled out in 2019.
- People stay in the loop. Our research team validates and enriches. They spend their time on judgment calls, not data entry.
The result covers 750,000+ verified profiles across RIAs, broker-dealers, wealth teams, family offices, banks and trusts, insurance, and 900K+ retirement plans. It refreshes continuously, not once a year.
None of this is flashy. You never see it. But every layer below depends on it, because AI is only as good as the data underneath it.
Layer 2: AI inside the platform
Clean data is step one. Getting to the right slice of it fast is step two. Inside AdvizorPro, AI shows up in many places.
Smart Search. Type what you want in plain English. AdvizorPro turns it into real filters you can see and edit. We typed "RIAs in Texas with over $1B AUM that use Orion" and got 113 firms and 614 contacts back, with state, AUM, and platform filters already applied. No Boolean. No hunting through menus.
Every filter Smart Search applies stays visible, so you can tweak it before you export or sync.
AI-powered website and ADV search. Some of the best targeting signals live in text, not fields. Search the full text of ADV filings, firm websites, and advisor bio pages for any phrase. "Tax-loss harvesting." "Pickleball." "Former Morgan Stanley." If a firm says it, you can find it.
AI Insights on every dashboard widget. Your dashboard tracks Advisor Moves, Breakaways, M&A Activity, New Firms, New Advisors, Private Offerings, TrafficIQ, Industry News, and ETF trends. Each widget comes with a written summary. Last week the Breakaways insight read like this: 19 breakaways in 30 days, Daymark Wealth Partners picked up 5, Astravia Family Wealth Office took 4, Hofman Wealth Management took 2. That's the read you'd want from an analyst, sitting right above the table.
The AI Insight writes this summary for you. The chart is the same data, drawn.
Ask AdvizorPro on any profile. Open a firm or advisor profile and ask it questions. What do they specialize in? Who runs investments? What changed this year? It answers from that profile's data, and it can draft an email or meeting notes while you're there.
Scoring and list intelligence. Lead scores rank prospects as Excellent, Good, or Fair against your own scoring models. List Match takes any CSV, like a conference list or webinar export, detects the columns, and matches it to our records. Bulk Search does the same for pasted names, CRDs, NPNs, or emails. A messy list becomes an enriched, scored one in a few minutes.
Layer 3: AdvizorPro inside Claude and ChatGPT
Your team already does its thinking in an AI chat. Meeting prep, account research, first drafts. The problem was always the data. It lived in another tab.
So we put it in the chat.
AdvizorPro connects to Claude and ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). MCP is the open standard AI tools use to call live data sources mid-conversation. Setup takes a few minutes in your AI tool's connector settings. No engineering ticket.
Once it's connected, your AI can reach almost everything in the platform:
- Firm and contact profiles, including AUM, custodians, tech stack, team structure, and verified contact info
- Saved searches and the full results behind them
- Dashboard widgets like Advisor Moves, Breakaways, and Industry News
- 13F holdings, by ticker or by firm
- TrafficIQ visitors and the session history for each firm
- Form D private offerings and the reps selling them
- Regulatory disclosures and full ADV filings
The real unlock is that it sits next to your other tools. Claude can read your calendar, your inbox, and your CRM in the same conversation. That's where the good prompts come from:
"Look at my calendar tomorrow and brief me on every advisor I'm meeting."
"Use my saved Denver Trip list and tell me which firms grew AUM fastest over three years."
"Which firms visited our pricing page this week, and do any of them already hold our fund?"
"Pull the last 30 days of breakaways and chart them by day."
No exports. No copy and paste. And the answers come from verified data, not whatever the model remembers from training.
Layer 4: From list to CRM workflow
A great list sitting in a chat window is still just a list. Pipeline happens when it lands in your CRM and something kicks off.
AdvizorPro syncs natively with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Wealthbox, and Zoho. Snowflake and our API cover almost everyone else. Here's how the loop runs:
- Find. Build the audience with Smart Search, filters, or a prompt in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Pressure-test. Lead scoring ranks the list and cuts the weak fits.
- Push. Send the firms and contacts to your CRM. With our integration, you can push records straight from the AI chat, or sync a saved search. Records arrive enriched with AUM, channel, custodian, tech stack, and verified contact info.
- Trigger. Your CRM takes it from there. Enroll contacts in a sequence, assign owners by territory, create tasks for reps, or route high scorers to an AE.
- Keep it fresh. When an advisor moves or a firm's AUM jumps, the CRM record updates. TrafficIQ visits show up in the CRM too, so a rep sees intent right on the record.
Trigger is where pipeline starts. Keep fresh is what feeds the next list.
Salesforce Agentforce and HubSpot's AI tools can use this data as well. A new firm gets added and its record fills itself in.
That's the difference between AI that answers questions and AI that moves deals. One ends in a chat. The other ends with a rep making a call.
What it looks like in a real week
The layers matter less than what you do with them. Here's one workflow per team we serve, start to finish.
ETF issuers: find the allocation gap
You launched a buffer ETF and need RIAs that already buy the category. Filter on 13F holdings for the two biggest competitors in the space. Keep firms over $500M on Schwab or Fidelity.
Then ask Claude: "For each firm, how big is the competitor position and did it grow last quarter?" You get a ranked list with the numbers behind it. Push the top 50 to HubSpot and enroll them in a sequence that leads with how your fund compares on cost.
Asset managers: brief the road trip
A wholesaler is in Denver next week. Pull the saved Denver list into ChatGPT and ask for a one-page brief on each firm: AUM, recent growth, custodian, who runs investments, and anyone who joined in the last 90 days.
Add "cross-check against my calendar" and it flags who's already booked and who still needs a call. The wholesaler gets out of the car knowing the room.
Alternative managers: follow the Form D trail
Your competitors' selling groups are sitting in SEC filings. Ask Claude which broker-dealers and reps placed DST or Opportunity Zone offerings in your states over the last year.
Filter out firms already in your CRM. Push the rest to Salesforce as a new prospect list, owned by territory.
Wealthtechs: catch the switcher
You sell a portfolio management platform. Search for firms running a competitor's tool. Then check TrafficIQ for which of them hit your site this month.
Ask Claude to drill into those sessions. A firm that read your pricing page three times and your migration guide once is not browsing. Create an AE task in your CRM the same day.
Recruiters and M&A teams: start every morning with movement
Ask for the last 7 days of breakaways and advisor moves. Then ask which wirehouses are losing people fastest and which RIAs keep winning them.
For M&A, layer in the M&A Activity widget and look for owners near retirement age at firms with flat growth. Push the shortlist to your CRM with a follow-up task for each one.
The model is the easy part
Here's our honest take. In a year, every data vendor will say they have AI. Most will mean a chatbot sitting on top of the same old spreadsheet.
That's not what we built. AI is in how the data gets made, how you search it, where you can reach it, and how it turns into pipeline. Take any one piece out and the others get weaker.
Your team is going to work inside an AI assistant more every month. The question is what that assistant knows about your market. Give it the best wealth management data there is, and connect it to the CRM where the work gets done.
Frequently asked questions
How does AdvizorPro use AI to build its data? AI models read Form ADV, 13F, and Form D filings, firm websites, advisor bios, and news. They extract structured fields, link people and firms through entity resolution, and score confidence on every data point. A research team validates and enriches what the models find.
Can I use AdvizorPro data in ChatGPT or Claude? Yes. AdvizorPro connects to both through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, you can ask about any firm, advisor, saved search, holding, or website visitor in plain English and get live answers.
What is MCP? MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants call live data sources during a conversation. Claude, ChatGPT, and a growing list of AI tools support it.
Can I build prospect lists with AI in AdvizorPro? Yes. Smart Search turns a plain-English description into filters inside the platform. You can also build and refine lists by prompting Claude or ChatGPT with AdvizorPro connected.
Can AI-built lists go straight into my CRM? Yes. AdvizorPro syncs with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Wealthbox, and Zoho. Records arrive enriched, so you can trigger sequences, routing, and tasks in your CRM right away.
Is the data in my AI tool current? Yes. The AI connection queries AdvizorPro live, so answers reflect our latest data rather than an export or the model's training data.
Does the AI connection replace the platform? No. It extends it. The full platform is still there for deep research, dashboards, and list building.
